Hans-Böckler-Stiftung
With its PhD scholarships the Hans-Boeckler-Foundation aims at promoting PhD students who are especially competent and are committed to a trade union or socio-political aspects. The PhD thesis must be socio-politically relevant and let expect to contribute significantly to research.
Requirements: admission for PhD at a German university or college, a maximum age of 40 as well as socio-political engagement or engagement in a trade union.
The scholarship basically is for two years, an extension of maximum one year is possible. Holders receive maximum 920,- Euro monthly plus an additional research grant of 100,- Euro. Generally, Grantees are expected to actively participate in the supporting program of the Hans-Boeckler-Foundation.
