The rise of National Egyptian Law: studies on a transition society. 1937-1955

The process of decolonisation studied through juridical sources is the subject of this research. In the period taken in consideration (1937-1955) Egypt goes through big changes in political, cultural and social life. The analysis of the evolution of the Egyptian legal system, since the European direction to the promulgation of the National Civil Code can help us to understand the transition of the society (Arabic And Islamic), as a whole, focused on the process of "National Identity building". The analysis of coeval juridical cases plays a big role in this historical reconstruction. Interdisciplinarity and non Euro-centric point of view are the keywords of the Project.
