Annina Ocken graduated from the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany, in 2012 with an undergraduate degree in Russian Culture and Social Sciences (Culture, Individual and Society) and received a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Behavioral and Cultural Studies in Ethnology (major) and South Asian Studies (minor) from the University Heidelberg in 2017.
Her PhD project centers on contemporary art in Indonesia - a case study of everyday live in the Yogyakarta art scene.
