Phd seminar, section "Text and Context"
Fahd Ashour made a presentation of his Phd project "The Qur'ân and narration: aspects of contextualization". Two exterior guests accepted our invitation and participated to the discussion: Dr. Johannes Thon (Institut of biblical studies) and Dr. Heidrun Eichner (O.W.Z.). The participants exchanged several opinions about the methods of analyze of a sacred text like the coranic text and the interest of the comparative perspective with biblical narratives. The discussion around coranic studies inspired us to organize a meeting about the Corpus Coranicum project. Nicolaï Sinaï from Berlin will present the Corpus Coranicum project during the summer semester.
