He is standing in for Professor Jürgen Paul, who was awarded a research semester funded by the German Research Society (DFG) and dedicated to research on Local Lordship in Muslim Central Asia and Eastern Iran, 10th-14th centuries. |

Dr. James Thompson accepted an invitation by the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Zürich to be a guest scholar for the academic year 2009-2010 in order to conduct research related to his project The Translation of Human Rights: A Praxis-Theoretical Approach to the Origin of Values. Additionally, he is working with researchers at the University of Fribourg. |
